River Rest Resort assumes no liablility for the welfare and safety of persons swimming in the River.
This is a family park, not a party ground.

Campers checking in earlier than 3:00PM will be required to pay a DAY USE fee of $10.00.  Campers checking out after 2:00PM will be required to pay a DAY USE fee of $10.00.

Check-In time is 3:00 PM.

Check-Out time is 2:00 PM.


There is no internet service or cell reception in the Little Town of Washington.

Minimum stay for reservations:
Two nights minimum on weekends.
Three night minimum on Memorial, 4th of July and Labor Day Weekends

Deposit Policies on advance reservations:
All reservations require a one night deposit on a Visa or MasterCard to ensure reserved site.  If you have not checked in by 9:00 PM and no phone call is made, your site will be given away.

Cancellation Policies:
NO rain checks or refunds are given with less than 14 days of arrival date.  You will be charged for the nights reserved if you have not cancelled within the 14 day of arrival date.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY CALL 911, there is a 911 phone located at the Office.

Then contact Park Security for further assistance.  Camp hosts are in site #18.  If any violation of rules occurs or you are having problems with another camper, please report it to camp site #18.


Quiet hours are strictly enforced:
10 PM to 8 AM.  For the welfare of all campers, please no loud radios at anytime.  All music levels must be kept to your own campsite.  NO EXPLICIT LYRICS ARE ALLOWED. People come here to relax, and enjoy the river, not hear your music.

Speed limit is 5 mph in park and must be obeyed.  Beware of small children at all times.

Off-street motorcycles and ATV’s may not be ridden in the park, entry and exit only.  PLEASE OBSERVE THE SPEED LIMITS POSTED IN THE CAMPGROUND AND IN TOWN.

Pets are welcome but MUST be on a leash at all times and are not to be left unattended and barking.  If your pet is unattended or not on a leash, you will be asked to remove your pet from the park.  NO refunds will be issued.  Your dog must not be allowed to bark excessively.  Pets are not allowed on the Beach Area between sites #24 & #25 at anytime.  Please clean up after your pet.  The dog beach is between sites #10 & #11.  If your dog is on the beach between #24 & #25 it is grounds for termination for you and your dog.

Do not mutilate any trees, signs tables, facilities or any other object in the park.

Fires are only permitted in park established BBQ/fire rings or rock fire rings.  DO NOT MOVE THE RINGS, OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED $100.00.

Please keep a clean campsite, dispose of all liter in the trash cans provided.  PLEASE ONLY PUT GLASS , PLASTIC, AND ALUMINUM CONTAINERS IN BLUE RECYCLE BINS.  NO TRASH OR CARDBOARD.

No fireworks or firearms are permitted at any time.  This includes BB guns, firearms, pellet guns, slingshots, bows and arrows, and paint ball guns.

Swimming is allowed anywhere on the river.  There are no lifeguards and all swimmers at River Rest Resort do so at their own risk.  NO SWIMMING AFTER DARK.

Fish limit per species per person/per day is regulated by the State of California.

No fishing is permitted in the swimming area.  Designated swim areas are between campsites #5-#31.  You can either go up or down river to fish, but respect other properties on either side as they are private property.

The Children’s Playground hours are from 8:00 AM until dusk.

We are pleased to have you as our guest.  If rules are not honored, and you are asked to leave, there will be NO REFUND.


River Rest Resort has a policy that requires every camper to provide either a Visa or Master Card for a deposit.  If damages are done, your card will be charged.  You will be notified.

DO NOT burn anything but wood in the fire pits.  This means NO garbage, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, food, etc.  DO NOT move the BBQ rings/rock rings.  If you pull out the BBQ ring the charge will be $100.00.  If you bring your own wood it must be no longer than 24 inches.  Do not leave uncut wood in the campsite.  Removing other debris will be a charge of $10.00.

DO NOT leave trash and debris in your site.  This means NO cigarette butts, bottle caps, small scraps of paper, etc.  Use garbage and recycling cans.  (Only aluminum cans, plastic and glass to be put in recycling bins which are blue.)  Fee for cleaning up your site will be $25.00.

DO NOT tie your dogs to the water faucet pipes.  If you break a water faucet pipe, minimum charge is $50.00.

DO NOT remove tables.  If you or anyone in your party removes the picnic table or brings another one to your site, the charge will be $10.00.  If you group your picnic tables together, put them back, and make sure the right number is on the table for the right site.

DO NOT abuse or vandalize your site or any other site in anyway.  DO NOT hammer anything into the trees such as nails or spikes.

DO NOT leave feces from your pet, clean it up, or else we will not permit dogs in the park.

DO NOT damage or destroy ANY of the plant or animal life in the campground.


We do have yearly sites.  Our contract is for one year, from June 1 through May 31.  They are available in sites #61-#84.  They are to be used as a vacation site, not a live-in site.  The yearly fee starts at $1,836.00 plus electricity, which is however much you use.  The sites are metered and billed monthly.  The rent starts at $153.00 per month.  You may ask to see a contract if you like.  There is a one time set-up fee of $300.00 to start the contract.  The rates increase by 3% per year.  These fees were set in 2010.
